In celebration of Earth Day, the World Championship Chili Cook-off announces a big step toward sustainability by partnering with Natural Tableware®,  makers of high-design, biodegradable, compostable plates, cutlery and straws.

Natural Tableware® was the first in the market to develop high-end green alternatives for plastic disposables. As an Official Sustainability Partner of WCCC’s 54th Annual Event, Natural Tableware® will provide single-use tableware for the entire slate of the event’s tasting experiences.

At this year’s competition, scheduled for Sept 17-19th in Myrtle Beach, event attendees will have the chance to purchase People’s Choice tickets and vote for their favorite chili in three key categories. Thanks in part to this new partnership with Natural Tableware®, each sample will be served responsibly in sustainable dishes, making the event environment friendly for the beautiful Grand Strand.

Not only is Natural Tableware sustainable, but it’s also a great looking product that compliments the food that’s served on it.” 

Additionally, Natural Tableware will serve as the preferred vendor for disposable plating used by Vendors and Exhibitors of the event, which will assist in further reducing the use of plastic and nonsustainable materials. Order forms for competitor and vendor/exhibitor pre-orders will be released prior to the event through direct communication from the WCCC team.
